WebbMason ranks 5th on print solutions “Top 100” List

HUNT VALLEY, MD—September 15, 2010—WebbMason Inc., a leading provider of On-Demand Marketing Systems, was named the fifth-largest print distributor in North America according to 2009 sales. Print Solutions Magazine, published by the Print Services & Distribution Association (PSDA), released the rankings in its August 2010 issue.

In addition to its No. 5 overall ranking, WebbMason placed No. 2 in commercial printing sales ($31 million in 2009) and No. 4 in mailing and fulfillment sales ($5 million in 2009).

Since its inception in 1989, WebbMason has realized that each company has unique goals, requirements and challenges in the print and brand management arena. For that reason, the company has always aimed to provide customized solutions, including ways to lower print spend, manage brand identity, monitor inventory and gain quality control.

“The current economic environment has made it critical for companies to streamline their purchasing processes. They need empowering technology and strategic business partners that provide cost savings and smart ideas that result in long-term relationships,” says Warner Mason, president and chairman of the board of WebbMason.

WebbMason operates 18 sales offices, employs over 300 people and expects 2010 sales of about $85 million. The firm is a single-source supplier of a huge range of print and promotional products, and it focuses on helping clients in a wide range of industries reduce their total marketing communication spend. This is accomplished through centralizing the print management process, eliminating unnecessary steps in print production, simplifying print ordering and reducing inventory.

Many of its top clients use WebbMason’s proprietary MarketingBench technology, an online, on-demand document management application that enables organizations to simplify their print procurement programs, gain full control of branded materials and reduce production costs.

“Each year, Print Solutions Magazine recognizes the year’s most elite print distributors,” said Peter Colaianni, former executive vice president of PSDA. “The Top 100 is a list of those distributors who have held onto their share of the market and continue to grow their sales even during these difficult economic conditions. These distributors are the best of the best in our industry.”
